My camera or microphone isn't working
Permissions checklist for browsers, OS, and headsets.
If your camera or mic isn't working, try these in order:
- Click the camera icon in your browser's address bar and confirm Sierra Realtime has permission. Reload the page after granting.
- On macOS: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera/Microphone. Allow your browser.
- On Windows: Settings → Privacy → Camera/Microphone. Toggle on for your browser.
- Close other apps that might hold the device (Zoom, FaceTime, Teams). Browsers can't share with native apps.
- If you use a USB headset, unplug and re-plug it. Then refresh the page so we re-enumerate devices.
Still broken? Open the in-meeting Devices panel and switch to a different camera/mic source. Some laptops expose multiple virtual devices and only one of them is real.
